Zombie Walkers: Safety Initiatives to Awaken Your Employees

What are zombie walkers?  Steve Laughlin of CJ & K Training Services defines a zombie walker as an employee who has grown complacent and seems oblivious to safety procedures.  Speaking at the 2010 American Industrial Hygiene Conference and Expo (AIHce), Steve pointed out that this is a problem that safety professionals need to address.  He said, "At some point, we [EHS professionals] are responsible for this.  We’re part of the problem. We have to find a way to get through to these people and can’t keep relying on the same old run-of-the-mill stuff."  He then provided eleven creative ideas to "snap people out of their zombie ways."

Read about steve's eleven creative approaches to safety in an article posted today on the EHS Today Magazine web site.  Click here.
