PowerPoint Presentation from the NEI: "Eye Safety at Work"
Workers everywhere, direct your eyes toward this...The National Eye Institute (NEI)—in cooperation with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), the National Safety Council (NSE) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)—provides a very informative PowerPoint presentation entitled "Eye Safety at Work."
As part of the National Institutes of Health, an agency of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the NEI was established on August 16, 1968 when President Lyndon B. Johnson signed Public Law 90-489. The new NEI was the first government organization solely dedicated to research on human visual diseases and disorders.
Intended for employers and employees in the United States, the NEI's "Eye Safety at Work" presentation follows this outline:
