Top 7 Workplace Safety Resources

We thought we’d share these resources with you. Available online, we’re kept in the loop on all the major workplace safety stories daily. The more well-informed we all are, the more likely we’ll all have safer workplaces. And isn’t that the goal here?

1) FacilityBlog, always well-written, humorous and timely. Heidi Schwartz does a great job. http://www.todaysfacilitymanager.com/facilityblog

2) OSHA. May be an obvious choice, but one that can’t be ignored. http://www.osha.gov/

3) PR Newswire. Resource for new products and trends. Check out http://www.prnewswire.com/

4) U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. Packed with regional data, covers many industries. You do your own analysis. Visit http://www.bls.gov/

5) Associated Press. Newspapers and websites pick up their stories. Again, not a lot of regional “flavor,” but useful information. http://www.ap.org/

6) Environmental Protection Agency. Timely alerts, investigations. http://www.epa.gov/

7) MSHA. Mining safety news, citations, disasters. http://www.msha.gov/

Are there others you'd care to add, please? Thanks.
