Canadian Companies Get Creative Sentences For Accidents
Fort McMurray Today reports on two creative sentences recently issued for two Fort McMurry (Canada) area employers. The article states:
"More than $423,000 will be directed to first aid and occupational heath-related programs as part of the creative sentencing levied against Roofmart Alberta Inc. in Gregoire and Clean Harbors Energy and Industrial Services Corp."

$338,500 of the fine will be available to provide a first aid education, and to expand a training classroom facility in Fort McMurray. Of that, $200,000 of the fine will to be used to expand the classroom safety training space. The remaining $138,500 will be used to offer free standard first aid training to approximately 1,000 high school students and young workers from the Fort McMurray area.
