Will Sunstein's Departure Change The Regulatory Landscape?

Cass Sunstein will leave the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs (OIRA), which oversees federal rules, later this month and return to Harvard Law School.  OIRA oversees all proposed federal regulations, including those from OSHA. 

Sunstein was often criticized from both sides of the political spectrum. Liberals felt that he was holding up proposed OSHA regulations. Conservatives thought he was not doing enough to limit the increases in Federal regulations.
